While travelling through the South Australian outback, we came across the famous Farina Ruins. Framed by the window, the azure sky is juxtaposed against the colours of the Ruins. Seeing theseoldruins takes you back to years gone by and gives you an idea of how hard it was for life for the new Australians to survive in desert conditions. Many ruins are scattered throughout outbackSouthAustralia and some even follow an old train line.

GULLS AT SEA
Gulls At Sea was painted when we moved to the seaside town at Corner Inlet, part of the Wilsons Promontory, South Gippsland, Victoria. The sea inspired me to paint this scene as did my mentorKevin Boucher. I wanted to capture the seas smashing against the rocks and the birds flying up and out of the way of the surf. I think I have created a real sense of movement in this painting.
